White Sox Minor League Update: May 3, 2026

The Chicago White Sox minor league affiliates put together a strong showing on Sunday, posting a 3-1 record across the system for the second consecutive day. The highlight of the evening came in Charlotte, where the Knights delivered a walk-off victory to cap off a thrilling series finale.

Charlotte's win was powered by a late-inning rally that erased a two-run deficit in the eighth, followed by a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth that scored the winning run. The Knights' offense showed patience at the plate, drawing five walks in the final two frames, and the bullpen held firm with three scoreless innings of relief.

In Double-A, Birmingham rode a strong start from their pitching staff to a comfortable win. The Barons got six innings of one-run ball from their starter, who struck out seven and scattered four hits. The offense provided early support with a three-run second inning, and the bullpen closed the door without much drama.

High-A Winston-Salem also found their way into the win column, thanks to a balanced attack that included home runs from two of their top prospects. The Dash jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, with the defense turning two key double plays to snuff out any comeback attempts.

The only loss of the day came in Low-A, where Kannapolis dropped a close game despite a strong outing from their young starter. The Cannon Ballers managed just four hits and left eight runners on base, struggling to string together hits in key situations.

the system continues to show depth, especially on the mound, as several arms turned in quality starts. The White Sox front office will be watching closely as the season progresses, with several players beginning to heat up at the plate.
