Packers Discussion: What are you looking for in OTAs?

The Green Bay Packers are set to kick off organized team activities next week, and while these spring practices are voluntary and non-contact, they offer the first real glimpse of the team's direction. For a roster that skews young and is still finding its identity, these sessions carry more weight than usual.

The biggest question mark remains the wide receiver room. With a group of unproven pass catchers, fans will be watching closely to see who builds early chemistry with quarterback Jordan Love. Does Christian Watson take a step forward in his route running? Can Romeo Doubs establish himself as a reliable chain mover? And most importantly, how does the new offensive scheme look without a clear number one target?

On defense, the secondary is worth monitoring. The Packers invested heavily in the position, and OTAs will show how the new pieces fit together. Jaire Alexander is the anchor, but the rest of the cornerback group needs to show it can hold up. The safety position also needs clarity, especially with young players getting first-team reps.

Beyond the skill positions, the offensive line rotation will be interesting. With some veterans missing time or working back from injury, the coaching staff will likely experiment with combinations. This is also a chance for rookies and second-year players to show they have absorbed the playbook.

OTAs are not about winning games, but they set the tone. For Packers fans, the hope is to see crisp routes, smart decisions from Love, and a defense that communicates well. If the team looks organized and competitive in shorts and helmets, it will be a good sign for training camp.
