A stunning 14-0 run in the game's final minutes propelled the Miami Heat to a critical 119-109 comeback win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night. The victory keeps Miami's hopes of climbing the Eastern Conference standings firmly alive.
Tyler Herro led the charge with 30 points, while Bam Adebayo delivered a dominant double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds. Rookie Pelle Larsson provided a massive spark off the bench, contributing a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Heat, now 40-36, are locked in a tight battle for playoff positioning. They currently sit ninth in the East, virtually tied with the Orlando Magic for the eighth spot. The win is vital for Miami's goal of escaping the play-in tournament, or at least securing a top-two spot within it to earn two chances at a playoff berth.
Philadelphia fought hard throughout the contest, but had no answer for Miami's closing surge. The Heat's defense tightened in the decisive stretch, creating turnovers and converting them into easy baskets to seal the important road victory as the regular season winds down.
