Fox Sports is making a serious push into women's college volleyball, announcing a 35-match broadcast schedule for the upcoming season. That number marks a new high for the network, which has been steadily increasing its investment in the sport over the past few years. The lineup will feature a mix of regular-season conference clashes, high-profile nonconference matchups, and postseason action, with a particular focus on two powerhouse programs: Louisville and Kentucky.
The Cardinals and Wildcats are both expected to be national title contenders, and Fox is putting them front and center. Louisville, coming off a Final Four appearance, will appear in several nationally televised slots, including a marquee home match against a top-10 opponent in early October. Kentucky, which has dominated the SEC in recent seasons, will also get multiple prime-time windows, including a rivalry showdown that could have major seeding implications.
Beyond those two teams, the schedule spreads across the Big Ten, Big 12, and Pac-12, giving viewers a broad look at the sport's depth. Fox's push comes at a time when women's volleyball is seeing record attendance and TV ratings, fueled by the NCAA's expanded tournament format and a wave of young stars. The network says it will use its main channel for at least a dozen games, with the rest on FS1 and streaming platforms. For fans, that means more chances to watch elite volleyball without hunting for obscure cable channels. The season kicks off in late August, and the full schedule is expected to be released next week.
