FloSports Launches Free Streaming Channel on Prime Video in the U.S.

FloSports has launched a new free streaming channel on Amazon's Prime Video platform, giving U.S. viewers access to a wide range of live and on-demand sports content without a subscription fee. The channel, simply called The FloSports Channel, will feature coverage from more than 25 different sports, including wrestling, track and field, gymnastics, volleyball, and combat sports.

The move is aimed at reaching passionate fan communities who follow niche sports that often get limited coverage from mainstream broadcasters. FloSports has built its reputation on serving dedicated audiences for sports like collegiate wrestling, indoor volleyball, and professional cycling. By putting a free channel on Prime Video, the company hopes to introduce its brand to a much larger audience while still keeping its premium subscription service for deeper coverage and archives.

The free channel will offer a mix of live events, highlight shows, and original programming. It will rotate content throughout the year to align with major competitions and seasons. For example, during the winter months, viewers might see more wrestling and indoor track events, while spring and summer will bring more outdoor sports like lacrosse and cycling.

FloSports says the channel is ad-supported, so viewers will see commercials but do not need to pay anything to watch. The launch is part of a broader trend where sports media companies are using free ad-supported TV, or FAST, channels to grow their audience. Other sports networks have also launched similar free channels on platforms like Roku, Pluto TV, and now Prime Video.

For now, the channel is only available in the United States. FloSports has not announced plans to expand the free channel to other countries, but the company says it will monitor viewer interest and feedback. The channel is accessible through the Prime Video app on smart TVs, streaming devices, and mobile phones.
