Falkirk sign teenager McGovern from Glenavon

Falkirk has completed the signing of teenage winger Paul McGovern from Northern Irish club Glenavon. The 19-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract with the Scottish Championship side, with the transfer fee remaining undisclosed.

McGovern, who can play on either flank, has been a standout performer for Glenavon's youth setup and made several first-team appearances last season. His pace and direct running style are expected to add a new dimension to Falkirk's attacking options as they aim for promotion.

Manager John McGlynn expressed satisfaction with the acquisition, noting that the club had tracked McGovern for some time. "Paul is a talented young player with great potential. We believe he will develop well within our system and contribute immediately to the squad," McGlynn said.

McGovern becomes Falkirk's third signing of the summer transfer window as the club continues to reshape its roster. He is expected to join his new teammates for pre-season training later this week, with the new season set to kick off in early August. The winger will wear the number 11 shirt for the Bairns.
