Bryce Young Opens Week With Full Practice for Panthers

October 21, 2026 - 23:25

Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young took a step forward in his preparation for the upcoming game by participating fully in Wednesday's practice session. The second-year passer was listed as a full participant, a positive sign for a team that has dealt with its share of injury concerns at the position this season.

Young's availability throughout the week will be closely monitored as the Panthers build toward their next matchup. Getting a full practice in early in the week gives the coaching staff confidence that he will be ready to lead the offense without limitations. It also allows Young to build chemistry with his receivers and work through the game plan at full speed rather than splitting reps.

The Panthers have leaned on Young's development as a centerpiece of their offensive identity. His ability to stay on the field and command the huddle has been a focus for the organization throughout the year. Wednesday's participation suggests he is trending in the right direction and should not face any restrictions as the week progresses.

Coaches typically use the first practice of the week to install the game plan and evaluate player availability. Having the starting quarterback fully involved from the start helps the entire offense operate more efficiently. The team will continue to monitor his status over the next two days before making any final determinations ahead of kickoff.
